Bent Tree in Carrolton, TX has identified pillars in our community that need raised awareness, efforts, money, and attentions. The one we are focusing on is child sex trafficking in our city. Over 400 children are sexualy abused through a complicated trafficking rings each night in our own backyard. This has to stop!!!! With boots on the ground idententifying missing people and searching for them Poiema, is about action and pursuing those who are hurting and dont have an advocate. 

The Poiema Foundation educates the public and raises awareness in order to prevent sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and other methods of sexual exploitation. Poiema also facilitates the restoration journey of survivors by providing for their physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to provide a safe place where victims experience the unconditional love and receive trauma-informed care on their joumey from victim to
survivor.
