Bent Tree Bible Church in Carrolton, TX has identified pillars in our community that need raised awareness, efforts, money, and attentions. The one we are focusing on is child sex trafficking in our city. Over 400 children are raped each night in our own backyard. This has to stop!!!!
The Poiema Foundation educates the public and raises awareness in order to prevent sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and other methods of sexual exploitation. We also facilitate the restoration journey of survivors by providing for their physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to provide a safe place where victims experience the unconditional love and receive trauma-informed care on their journey from victim to survivor.
On October 25th of this year we will be hosting a golf tournament with Poiema to do all of those things. Last year we raised over $50k to accomplish that.
We want to go big this year. We now have 2 golf courses we will be filling up, and a full auction and raffle. I know the players are in season but would love to have a raffle item/s to represent each of the team in Dallas, to show a effort from the most prolific members of our metroplex are in support.
A team ball or helmet, a Michah or Dak Jersey/cleats shoes, Suite for a game. Just a few ideas we have come up with and discussed with the other teams in town.
