Pot o'Gold Garden Gala
Gala/Party for Benjamin Franklin Community GardenMar 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
We value your commitment to serving our community. Please consider connecting with and
supporting another local organization, one with a long history and a notable tradition. The
Ben Franklin Community Garden is the oldest and largest community garden in the Greater
Cleveland area. The garden is an extraordinary five-acre site in the South Hills area of Old
Brooklyn where local gardeners learn and work together to grow nutritious food and
continue a rich tradition that roots and supports the surrounding neighborhood.
An important aspect of our mission is to share our love for gardening with others. Last season
our 180 gardeners donated 1,900 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks with a total of
2,127 volunteer hours. Gardeners are charged minimal fees for seasonal plots that do not
wholly sustain the garden. Funds for expenses such as equipment, soil amendment, and
grounds upkeep must come from grants and donations.
To help us continue our work and keep the garden a vibrant part of our community we are
hosting our annual fundraiser. Attendees will be treated to dinner, beer, door prizes and a
basket raffle.
