Wayne County Protective Agency dba Fair Haven is a 501C3, non-profit charitable organization serving victims of domestic violence and their children. Fair Haven is a 12-bed, 24-hour emergency domestic violence shelter open 365 days a year. Fair Haven serves Wayne, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties, working to achieve its mission to end the cycle of domestic violence by providing emergency shelter, per shelter, comprehensive services, outreach services, and education on the cycle of domestic violence. Through providing case management, legal assistance, individual therapy, children's services, childcare, support groups, and outreach services, Fair Haven's goal is to help victims transition into a healthy, independent lifestyle free of violence.

WCPA's 2022-2023 fiscal year statistics display that WCPA received a total of 493 crisis calls from victims seeking shelter or outreach services, served 170 victims in the shelter, 75 victims in the outreach/legal advocacy program, four dogs and three cats in our pet program; and reached over 8,532 of people through support groups, social media, and outreach and awareness events.

Each year, Fair Haven hosts a Professional Women's Luncheon & Fashion Show. This event goes beyond a meal—it's a celebration of the incredible women who contribute their talents to Wayne, Appling, and Jeff Davis counties. This event isn't just about savoring delicious cuisine; it's a platform to acknowledge the integrity, dedication, and tact displayed by the professional women in our midst. It's a moment to applaud their achievements and highlight their impact on our local workforce, all while supporting and advocating for the men, women, and children in our community who have, are, and will experience domestic violence. The funds raised at this event last year are attributed to serving 645 survivors of abuse in our service area.

Fair Haven has continued to work tirelessly, assisting individuals and families to gain a sense of independence, and now needs your help to make our 2nd Annual Professional Women’s Luncheon & Fashion Show a success.
