The Melissa Pierce Project, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential multi-generational programs and services to the Joppa-Joppee comunity. Joppa-Joppee is one of Dallas' most intact Freedman's settlements founded my emancipated slaves in 1872. The neighborhood has a rich history, cultural identity, and a long lineage of cummunity activism. Similiar to many black communities, Joppa-Joppee suffers from a lack of access to social services and resources.

To address the unmet need, MPP is developig the first and only physical space for commuity expression and support in Joppa-Joppee. When complete, the locally owned and operated multi-purpose center will be a true reflection of the community and will serve as a foundation to empower Joppa-Joppee families, ensuring that the community remains a thriving center of opportunity!

This golf tournament is a fundraiser to assist with the funding of the project.
