We are holding a Read-a-Thon to encourage student literacy and raise money for this year's school gift: trees, tables, benches and other equipment to enhance the playground area at the school and make it usable as an outdoor classroom area. 

The Read-a-Thon will have two specific pieces: a fundraiser where families, relatives, friends and sponsors can donate on each student's page and a two week reading challenge for all of the students.

We are hoping to hold a raffle (with no donation required) where we enter the names of all of the students who met their daily reading goals each day of the two week period for a large grand prize.  We are hoping to offer the students a desirable incentive to participate and drum up excitement about not only the Read-a-Thon, but also reading in general.
