Hello! I am a 2nd grade teacher in Gwinnett county. I am challenging my students to read 20 minutes each night, so they can reach a goal of 3,000 minutes of reading by the end of the school year. I am hoping to encourage reading fluency and comprehension among my students. I would like to offer a prize for those who reach this extraordinary goal!

When I reached out to Six Flags about acquiring free one-day passes as a reward for my students, they directed me to your website to create a non profit application. However, I do not meet some of the criteria. For instance, I am not an organization nor do I have an EIN number. Am I still eligible to receive donations?

If not, I would like to advocate for my students and their reading. I know many of my students would be very motivated to read if they knew a Six Flags ticket was their prize. I have many students who are below grade level in reading, and I know this reward would encourage them to read more - thus building their reading skills. I am also asking my students to read with their parents and have them ask comprehension questions. Six Flags tickets would, therefore, encourage the families to be involved in their children’s education. As you can see, Six Flags tickets would be a very beneficial support for my students and their continuing reading skills.

As a young student, I used to receive free one-day passes to Six Flags for reaching summer reading goals. I would be thrilled to be able to do the same for my students. It is definitely a memory I will never forget.
