The Storm Lake School District will be hosting a registration celebration on July 13th and August 9th from 8 AM to 8 PM to get students registered for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents will be able to register their children for school and much more. The Iowa Department of Public Health will be there to give health information and to update immunizations as needed. The United Community Health Clinic will be there to provide servies and explain financial assistance they offer. We will have local mental health providers, domestic violence counselors and other communty outreach providers available to visit on those days. The Police Department will be helping to get students free haircuts and the Foodbank of Iowa will be there to hand out food and many other services. The Storm Lake School District wants to encourage families to get registered for school, but to also help them to better understand services within the community. We are asking businesses to donate items that we can give away as door prizes. We would like to have families go to each booth and if they do they get a ticket to put into a drawing. The days will have food, music and dancing from different cultures and information regarding the school and community.
