The Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (originally founded as the Symphony Orchestra of Arlington) is delighted to present the group's 11th Anniversary gala celebration and fundraiser at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria, VA.
The evening will begin at 6:30pm with light refreshments, a silent auction, and a pre-concert lecture in the Masonic Grand Hall, followed by a concert at 7:30pm in the Theater. The musical highlight of the night will be Rimsky-Korsakov's “Scheherazade," conducted by Maestro Jeffrey Dokken. The concert will also include Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain" conducted by one of the semi-finalists for SONOVA's music director/conductor search.
