The Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia, SONOVA, provides high-quality classical music to Northern Virginia and the surrounding area. With every concert, our dedicated musicians strive to entertain and educate as we bring affordable, accessible classical music to audiences in the region.

SONOVA was founded in 2011 and originally used the name Symphony Orchestra of Arlington. Over the years, SONOVA has been invited to perform throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with arts organizations as wide-ranging as symphonic choirs, tap dance companies, and Broadway artists.

The SONOVA team is passionate about artistic collaboration with guest artists and other arts organizations. In future years we look forward to expanding our creative programming and forming new collaborations, in particular in the area of youth outreach.
