Rockin' For Rescue: An 80's and 90's Pawty
Gala/Party for It Takes A Village Canine RescueJun 15, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM
ITV Rescue is having our 10th annual fundraiser called "Rockin' For Rescue: An 80's and 90's Pawty". This event is one of our largest fundraisers of the year for our rescue. ITV is an Indiana 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded because of the dire need regarding homeless animals in Evansville, IN and the surrounding communities. ITV was created to reduce the number of animals that die each year for no other reason than lack of space to house them. ITV transfers animals from regional shelters and places them in loving foster homes or at one of the ITV Rescue Centers until we can find them a permanent home. We also help community members with surrenders of unwanted animals to our rescue and also help families to keep the animals if wanted, but financially need basic help
ITV averages over 200 animals in our care at a time, relying on us to provide them with food, housing, veterinary care and , ultimately, find them a home. Athough we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in helping bully breeds, senior animals, animals with medical needs and other "hard-to-place" animals. We are one of the few rescues in Evansville that will help these types of animals. Our mission is "To work as one in helping animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance, while also supporting the people who love animals."
Further, we have many programs that help the community. For example we help community members in need who have unexpected vet bills or who need temporary help with beloved family pets. We also work with various groups to partner homeless dogs with individuals who need service dogs. We are also at community events regularly talking about our no-kill mission and we also work with city offices to reduce animal cruelty and promote animals that are at animal control for people to reclaim or adopt animals.
We will have many wonderful activities at this event, including live music, dinner, online & live auctions, puppy kissing booth and much more. We expect that the event will be promoted to tens of thousands of people prior the the event. On social media, our Facebook page hasover 58,000 followers and our newsletter has over 22,000 subscribers. We also have many Instagram and TicTok followers. Additionally we expect local media coverage, including radio and TV coverage before and at the event.
We hope that you will consider supporting "Rockin' For Rescue" so we can continue to help animals in our area. All proceeds from this event will go directly to helping animals in our care. Please feel free to contact us if we can answer any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
