Dear Community Partner,

We hope this finds you safe and well. We invite you to join us for the 2022 Roses & Races: A Gala Party, planned for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022. This event, held at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort, will be a night of fun and friendship and a chance to honor the community for its commitment to individuals with IDD. It is also our largest annual fundraising event and a critically important source of revenue for our agency. We ask you to consider championing our community through an auction item donation.

The events of the past two years have tested us, but the team has risen to the challenge. When the pandemic began, our case managers transitioned to virtual client visits without missing a beat. And we started bringing The Arc to hundreds of homes across San Antonio when we launched virtual day programming for the first time. Our state funding loss is now more than $1.5 million.  With both of our day program locations now open to about 40 percent of our population, we are safely returning more participants to in-person service. Still, the financial impact of the past year-and-a-half will linger, and your contribution to our auction is more important than ever.

Since 1954, The Arc of San Antonio has responded to the changing needs of our community by developing programs and partnerships which address the most critical issues facing people living with disabilities. Today, The Arc offers an array of services for children and adults with disabilities, including day activity programs and comprehensive case management services. With your support, we can and will continue providing essential resources to this community for many years to come.

We are working to build a list of bid-worthy list of items for the auction! These include autographed sports memorabilia; family portraits by outstanding photographers; priceless entertainment collectibles; gift cards; and one-of-a-kind experiences. But we need your help in securing great items that our virtual attendees will want to bid on!
