Mission: To enhance the lives of children and adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
and their families. We fulfill this mission through
direct care and case management services for
individuals with a broad range of intellectual and
developmental disabilities and their families.

Vision: A world where everyone with intellectual and
developmental disabilities and their families has
the resources, services, and programs they need to
reach their maximum potential.

Our Story: The Arc of San Antonio was founded in 1954 by parents who wanted to
create a network of support and services for their children with special
needs. Throughout our history, The Arc has responded to the changing
needs in our community by developing programs and partnerships that
address the most critical issues facing people living with disabilities.
Today, The Arc offers one of the largest continuum of services for
children and adults with a broad range of developmental abilities.
For over 60 years, The Arc of San Antonio has worked to enhance the
lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental
disabilities and their families. At The Arc, we work with each individual,
helping them to reach their personal goals through direct care and
comprehensive care management programming
