We hold a live auction on a Sunday evening in the month of October. It is held at our church but is advertised in the Red Oak area inviting everyone to attend. We partner with a nearby apartment complex to reach low-income families. Our volunteers play sports with the kids there and provide treats like popsicles during the summer and stockings with candy and toys at Christmas. Once or twice a year we provide food and all eat a meal together. We have been able to build positive relationships with adults, kids, and young people, showing others that we care with no strings attached. This year, one of our goals is to start a free food distribution program for these families with assistance from a local foodbank.

The auction we are requesting a donation for benefits these families and other free events in our community, such as school supplies giveaways.

We are a church that focuses on reaching our community. We support many local ministries such as the North Ellis County Outreach- which helps families get back on their feet with life skills classes, food, and clothing options, and The Genesis Center in Kaufman, TX- where women and children can live and learn, free from the harm of domestic violence.
