The Run For Southlake takes place on April 28th and it is our goal to raise $26,000 with all donations supporting the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). In support of furthering our fundraising efforts, we will be hosting an online auction that will begin April 19h, with bidding to close April 26st.  We are asking businesses to support us by donating goods, services or gift certificates to be auctioned. Donated items will prominently feature a photo as well as a description and link to promote your products and/or services.   

As a brief background, I’ll share our motivation. In 2017, my twin boys entered the world 8 weeks early. They were unable to breathe independently and were rushed to the NICU for urgent care. Connor and Kyle experienced significant difficulties in many areas, but the team of doctors, nurses and therapists at Southlake were phenomenal and always remained compassionate. During our 26 days in the NICU, we watched the NICU team work miracles, not just with our children but for many other little ones as well. Their tireless effort and constant care for our most vulnerable and teeniest people is what drives us to give back and support future NICU families.

Southlake delivers exceptional care to many families in our community. Families, like ours, have benefited from our health centre, Southlake, and within so many of the departments of the hospital.  We are so grateful to have this incredible resource so close to home, but funding is extremely limited and our hospital relies heavily upon community support and donations.

This year, we plan to raise $26,000 to support the NICU and the Paediatrics Department.  While that is a big target, we are committed to meeting our goal and invite you to join us. We would love to have you join our Team and help us bring kids home!
