Description

The San Diego Hike for Hope is a self-paced fundraising activity that incorporates self-care and hiking challenges - all funds raised benefit the American Foundation for Sucide Prevention. AFSP's mission is to save lives and to bring hope to those affected by suicide and the local San Diego chapter serves the San Diego and Imperial County areas by providing education programs, support, community events, and local and state-wide advocacy for mental health policy and legislation.

The official Hike for Hope event begins on May 1 and runs through entire the month of May, to coincide with National Mental Health Awareness Month. All registered participants will receive a BINGO card once registered. Participants can choose from an easy, moderate, or difficult hiking trail BINGO card. The goal is to complete enough squares by May 31st by completing a selection of hikes and self-care activities. At the end of the month, we will hold a prize drawing; all participants who register will receive an entry, and each completed BINGO card is worth 2 entries into the raffle as well.

An in-person Finale Gathering will be held on Sunday, June 4th for all registered participants. Prize drawing will be held and winners will be announced at the gathering.
