McCord's main goal has been to provide opportunities for members of the South Suburban community to experience quality education in art and music, and to offer a range of cultural events. We have recognized over the years that it is important for us to fulfill a need for programming for adults, young and old, and for adults with disabilities. Many of our students return year after year to further develop their skills, to receive critiques of their work and to enjoy the encouragement and support given by instructors and classmates. While continuing to offer exhibit space for community grade school and high school students each year, we focus our art classes primarily on an adult audience. In addition, our gallery exhibits the works of local and regional artists, and we provide a venue for a range of cultural performances.

Our annual "For Love of the Arts" Gala provides the major funding needed to keep us moving forward and serving the community. We would appreciate any donation you can provide to assist in making our event a success.
