The Parent Teacher Organization at William R. Dutemple Elementary School is a small group of dedicated parents and teachers working together to enhance student life at Dutemple Elementary, a small Title I school in Cranston, Rhode Island, serving grades K through 5, with approximately 300 students. To do so, our PTO helps cover the expenses for field trips, funds school assemblies, provides additional funds to teachers for educational supplies and other teaching-related needs, purchase equipment to improve our school grounds (e.g., benches, bike racks, little library), and we help to build our community through regular movie nights, arts and craft activities, school dances, etc. 

As a small PTO, we rely heavily on fundraising to be able to fund these efforts, and two of our most successful fundraisers are our annual calendar raffle and silent auction. However, these fundraisers are only possible due to generous donations from businesses to help increase the profit margin for our organization. We are contacting you to ask if you would be willing to make a donation for either of these events, such as a larger item for our silent auction or gift cards we can use for our calendar raffle. Businesses that donate will be recognized on our PTO Facebook page, in communications regarding the events, and within our school community.
