The Gleason Family YMCA in Wareham Massachusetts will host a fundraising event, Sip & Support for the Y, on Thursday, October 3rd at Stone Path Malt Taproom. This will be our signature fundraising event for 2024 and will feature a silent auction of donated goods and services, raffle, spirits pull, live music, food, and beverages. Our theme for the event will be “Teaming Up Together for 20 Years” as it’s our 20 anniversary this year.

The last few years have been about rebuilding our membership base and fundraising revenue after a significant drop due to the pandemic. The Gleason Family Y responded to the needs of our community during this difficult time with childcare and remote schooling, providing meals for the homeless, and food distributions to those suffering from food insecurity.

     The Y is seeking the support of organizations to provide item donations for the silent auction and raffle or business sponsorships for the event. Any size donations of goods and services are appreciated and will help to make the event successful. All donors are recognized for giving back to an important community organization in the event program materials and on social media promoting the event.

     Proceeds from this night benefit the Gleason Family YMCA Financial Aid program, which provides memberships and programs to those that cannot afford the YMCA experience on their own. It is the policy of the Y that no one is turned away because of an inability to pay.
