Soroptimist International of Greater Davis is a local non-profit to benefit women and children.  We provide 2-$2000 grants annually to a woman who is head of household enrolled in school to improver her education and earnings to assist in a better life for her dependents.  We also provide a $1000 grant to a high school senior who has overcome challenges in life.  This is not grade driven. 

Support is also given to local entities such as the Yolo Crisis Nursery which provicded temporary care for young children of famillies in crisis and Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (MDIC) which provide unique, single child depositions of children who may have been abused.  The interview is takin in a non-threatening environment where variouis prosecuting or service agencies can give questions via earphone for the interview.  The interview is taped, and admissable in court.  With these services there has been an increase in conviction rates. 

The annual golf tournament is our major fundriser.  This year, 2022, MDIC is both our partner and beneficiary of proceeds from the charity tournament.
