The non-profit Charlestown Playhouse Preschool and Kindergarten is celebrating 85 years of early childhood
education. We invite you to support our school by sponsoring or donating to our 2022 Annual Auction.
This year we will be doing a Valentine’s Day Mini-Auction online on February 10-11, 2022, and our main online
event from March 31-April 3, 2022. Our annual online auction is always very exciting and highly competitive! We
have a loyal alumni base that will greatly appreciate the goods and services you offer. Our fiercely supportive
families recognize the value in your business’services and humbly request your support for this event. This exciting
and worthwhile opportunity brings awareness to your services to a targeted audience of hundreds of local
Charlestown Playhouse supporters who, like you, have a commitment to building a strong and vibrant community
for our children.

Charlestown Playhouse is a non-profit, cooperative, play-based nursery school and kindergarten serving
Phoenixville and the surrounding areas. The school emphasizes learning through child-directed play, the importance
of supporting social and emotional development in young children, the beauty and value of nature and a strong sense
of community.

The past two years have been a challenge for our program, as I am sure you have felt the pains of 2020 and 2021 as
well, but we remain positive and know how important our mission is to the children that pass through our gates each
and every day. While suffering the loss of a few of our big fundraisers, we have remained resilient in moving to an
outdoor play-based program in order to provide students with a unique way to continue in person interaction and
social development, while keeping risks related to the Covid-19 pandemic low.

With the generous support from sponsors and donors, last year we raised over $37,000 during our auction, but still
had to cancel many of our other very large fundraisers in lieu of Covid. Through the cooperative model and our
fundraising, we can care for our historic property and unique play yard, offer educational resources to the larger
community, and provide financial access to high-quality early childhood education for many families who could not
otherwise afford such a program.
