Dear Community Leader:

Jonesboro Elementary School’s Junior Beta Club in Southern

Illinois has been working very hard this school year. As a student-centered

organization, Beta Club continually seeks ways to develop and nurture 

elementary and secondary school students by providing opportunities and 

experiences that enable them to demonstrate the ideals of achievement, 

character, leadership and service. By Jonesboro students winning

several regional and state competitions, students have already 

qualified to compete at the National Beta Convention in June in 

Savannah, Georgia! 

Since our school is located in a rural, economically depressed area,

many of our students’ families will have a difficult time raising enough

money to cover travel expenses for their student to attend.  Therefore, Beta 

Club is holding a Spring Fling in May to raise funds for this worthwhile

event.

 A regional junior high track meet will be held at our local high school.

 In addition, our local Beta Club will have a raffle and concessions available.

This event truly is fun for the whole family!

We’re in the process of collecting items for the raffle. Since summer is

almost here, I know many families will be looking forward to hitting the

road to enjoy time together.  By making a donation of passes to your

attraction, you'll be making a tax deductible contribution that will help

our children and benefit their education.
