Dear Donations Committee:

Each year the Parish of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church hosts an annual Armenian Festival. This year St. Gregory will hold its 47th Annual Armenian Festival on August 14, 2022.  The festival is held on the church’s grounds at 6700 W. Diversey, Chicago, Illinois.

We, like everyone else, are still recovering from the pandemic. It has been a slow and painful process, resulting in our traditional two-day picnic being reduced to one day this year.

The proceeds from this Festival will help ensure the continued existence of St. Gregory as it moves closer to its centennial, with this year being the 96th Anniversary of St. Gregory’s founding in Chicago. St. Gregory, like everyone else, is trying to re-establish financial stability. The revenue generated by the Silent Auction has become more important since this year’s picnic has been reduced to one day and the Silent Auction has the highest profit margin of any picnic offering.

We would appreciate a donation of four tickets, if possible, plus parking pass. We realize requests for your tickets are in high demand as we have made donation requests for well over 5 years to no avail. Hopefully, this will be our break-out year.

Letters from the Illinois Department of Revenue and the IRS confirming St. Gregory’s tax exempt 501(c)(3) status, enabling Medieval Times (Schaumburg) to use its donation as a tax deduction are available upon request.
