The Friends of the Malvern-Hot Spring County Library is preparing for the library's annual summer reading program to encourage continued literacy while kids are out for vacation. During June and July, we offer prize tiers and theme-specific challenges for participating. Each milestone nets a raffle ticket for the grand prize basket in a child’s age bracket. These baskets typically consist of:

• Donated prizes and gift cards from businesses, sports teams, and restaurants;
• Area destination tickets (museums, water parks, zoos, etc.);
• Gas cards to cover fuel to restaurants and destinations;

We are looking for merchandise to be included in grand prize gift baskets given out in early August. Everything that the library does for the summer reading program – the prizes, crafts, and programs – is free for participants and parents. Together, we can provide a lucky family with an unforgettable reward for their hard work. Our cooperation will fill a need for parents who may not have the budget or off time from work to provide their kids with other cultural activities over the summer. We have received donations from many popular restaurants as well as snacks, cookies, and coffee/tea sampler packs from businesses from coast to coast.

Your donation will be featured in the local newspaper as we thank businesses who made the program possible in late July and we would like a hi-res image of your logo to add on our website Donors page. We eagerly hope to partner with you for this event and we thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
