The mission of Friends of the Malvern-Hot Spring County Library is to support its parent organization. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance, advocate for the library, increase community awareness of the library, and provide volunteer services to the library in serving the greater Hot Spring County community.
The Malvern-Hot Spring County Library is preparing for its annual summer reading program to encourage continued reading while kids are out from June to August. It offers prizes for minutes read and grand prize raffle tickets. We are continuing our new category for adults to participate by reading books of their choice and want to offer them a grand prize of their own.
Everything that the library does for the summer reading program - the prizes, crafts, and programs - is free for participants and parents. We are requesting a donation of Dalls Cowboys memorabilia from the Dallas Cowboys; these will be awarded at a gift basket grand prize raffle for adults completing their version of the program. We would need these by the first week in August for publicity purposes.
