Description

For 25 years, Sherbourne Health’s Supporting Our Youth (SOY) program has been a beacon and lifeline for 2SLGBTQ youth in Toronto. SOY is an award-winning and innovative program that provides 2SLGBTQ youth, many from marginalized and racialized populations, with medical and mental health supports, goal planning and skills development, meals and nutrition education, housing and employment opportunities and much much more. For as long as SOY has been around, so has our annual fundraiser, the SOY Bowlathon. Every fall, our community comes together to raise vital funds for SOY while enjoying a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, entertainment, and fabulous prizes. This is where we need your help.

On Saturday, October 21, our supporters and youth will be hitting the bowling lanes and once the competition is over, we will hand out prizes for categories such as top scorer, best team spirit, greatest bowling form, etc. Previous prizes to our event have included gift certificates, ticket vouchers, and gift baskets from such donors as WestJet, Keurig, VIA Rail, and The Drake Hotel. These prizes help motivate our event fundraisers and draw attention to the event and our cause. The SOY Bowlathon raises close to $40,000 which directly and dramatically impacts the marginalized and racialized youth we support in our community and has made our SOY program the most attended one of its kind in the city.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration and please feel free to contact Joe Goulart if you would like more information about our fundraiser or the SOY program.
