Description

2023 marks eleven rewarding years since The Taylor House began its journey, and on Thursday, October 5, 2023, we will be hosting our annual gala at the Timber Creek Ballroom in Roseville.  The event includes raffle items, a live auction, dinner, and complimentary wine.  You will hear first-hand from some former and current residents about what The Taylor House has meant to them.

Located in downtown Roseville, our mission is: “To empower independence by teaching essential life skills and offering affordable rents to transitioning foster girls ages 18 -24.”   The Taylor House is a 6-bedroom safe supportive haven for young women transitioning out of foster care or homelessness and into the real world and a 2-bedroom college apartment for those seeking higher education.

These young girls were removed from their homes through no fault of their own and have often endured a lifetime of stress and trauma. The Taylor House welcomes them as family and nurtures them with stability, guidance, and courage. Since we have opened our doors, we have been able to assist over 60 girls in their quest for success:

·       We have assisted 43 girls in getting a job.

·       37 girls have enrolled in college and just this month, we are proud to celebrate one of our girls achieving a master’s degree! In addition, we have issued XX scholarships.

·       We have assisted 23 girls in learning how to drive and obtaining a car.

·       60 plus girls have seen a doctor, dentist, or therapist and many of their medical needs addressed.

·       All of our girls meet weekly to learn to budget and track progression of their goals and personalized action plans.

We are a 501c3 non -profit organization that receives no state or federal funding. Our funding sources come from individuals, organized groups, our annual fund-raising Gala, and community grants.  Our annual fundraiser is the foundation of our success and with your event sponsorship or raffle items, we can continue our journey to change the lives of these young women.
