On behalf of Sutro Elementary PTA, we’re asking your support at our upcoming Spring Raffle and
Auction on May 23, 2025. Sutro is a small public school in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco.
Almost 80% of Sutro students are socioeconomically disadvantaged and 60% do not speak English as a
primary language. Despite these challenges—and as a testament to the excellent staff and caring
learning environment—Sutro students consistently score above district and state levels in reading,
math, and science. The school was named a California Distinguished School award in 2023, an honor
bestowed to only five schools in SFUSD. Sutro PTA’s mission is to advocate for every student’s safety
and welfare and to provide them the opportunity for a quality public education.

This year, we aim to raise $20,000 in raffle ticket proceeds in order to fund programming at our school,
such as:
- Sutro’s outdoor garden science program
- Health classes for 5th graders
- Community-building events such as Fall Fest, Lunar New Year celebrations, and STEAM night
- Annual supplies budget for classroom related expenses for teachers
- Before and after school enrichment opportunities that are accessible for all students

Please consider supporting our school in two ways:
1. Donate an item or experience for the auction: Includes recognition on the event website (over
250 attendees) and school community email list (300+)
2. Sponsor the auction: Ranging from $100-$5000, sponsorships can be customized to fit your
business needs.
