The Animal Pad (TAP) is an all-breed, non-profit dog rescue based in San Diego. Throughout the years, we have been rescuing dogs from the streets of Mexico, high-kill shelters throughout Southern California, and from indescribable hoarding situations. We have a special place in our hearts for the underdog; we are proud to be the rescue that doesn’t say no to a dog, despite any medical or behavioral needs. On top of rescuing and finding forever homes for dogs, TAP's outreach program has grown immensely and we now do monthly events to low-income communities as well as animal welfare presentations at local schools.

We are currently planning our third annual TAP Holiday Party on December 2, 2023 which will also serve as a fundraising event. Our party will include live music, photo booths, caricature artists, food and beverages for sale, plus plenty of adoptable dogs! Last year, we had over 300 people in attendance and were able to raise some much needed funds to cover our rescue efforts. This year, we’re hoping to have over 500 attendees and are planning to raise at least $25,000 to cover some of our existing vetting bills as we’ve taken on a lot of medical dog cases this year (you can find some of our glow-ups on our Instagram (@theanimalpad). 

As part of the fundraising event, we are also organizing a raffle and silent auction. We will also have goodie bags for the first 50 attendees in hopes of getting the vibes going early on in the day!
