Description

The East Harlem Health Outreach Partnership (EHHOP), our student-run and physician-directed free clinic at Mount Sinai, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To mark this incredible milestone, we will be hosting a fundraising gala in April 2024. EHHOP has evolved into a nationally-recognized community health center, providing free, high-quality, and comprehensive care to adults in East Harlem facing insurance ineligibility and financial insecurity. Offering primary care along with specialized services, we have grown to serve our 300+ patients with 2000+ annual visits, all thanks to the dedication of 40+ volunteer physicians and 200+ health sciences and medical students. Despite our growth, escalating costs pose a challenge. In 2022, we invested $175,000 in EHHOP operations, medication purchases, and addressing social determinants of health to ensure that our patients receive the necessary care. We aim to establish an endowed fund to generate sustainable income for clinic operations, and our upcoming gala’s silent auction will contribute to this fund. Can we count on your support by donating an item for our silent auction? Your contribution, no matter the size, will play a crucial role in sustaining our mission.
