Hawthorne Scholastic Academy is a Chicago public magnet school which draws students from all across the city of Chicago.  The annual Hawthorne Gala raises much needed funds to bridge the gap between what Chicago Public Schools provides by way of budget and what the financial needs of the school are.  Monies raised not only support salaries of teachers and staff, but also provide necessary academic material, office needs and technology needs.
