We are a not for profit parent organization which supports Hawthorne Scholastic Academy Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. We are a magnet school that draws students from all over the city of Chicago. We are 49% non-white and serve students from various socioeconomic backgrounds. We work every year to protect our academic programming through dwindling CPS funding. Each year we fund at least one staff position and provide much needed supplies such as academic programming and copier machines.
