Every March, Seattle Country Day School holds an auction to help fund school programs and initiatives. This year, the auction (called the Great Maker Caper) features an online “silent” auction that takes place over seven days and a live gala event — featuring several major auction items — the evening of March 18. Auction items are described, valued, and attributed to the contributor. We hope that you will consider contributing to the auction this very popular event.

We publicize the SCDS auction to hundreds of influential members of the greater Seattle community — parents and friends from Seattle and the Eastside — and to hundreds of SCDS alumni of various ages, from young adults to retirees. Many of these people attend the live event; even more participate in the silent auction, a popular part of the overall event.

The proceeds from the auction are used to support important school operations at Seattle Country Day School, including need-based financial aid for families, program enrichment, and the capacity to remain flexible and nimble in the face of opportunities. Thank you very much for your consideration.
