A Chance To Grow (ACTG) is a 501(c)(3) in northeast Minneapolis thaty serves children and adults facing major challenges in brain function due to illness, injury, trauma or inadequate development.  Serving more than 1000 people a year, half of whom are people of color,  we provide clinical services,  education and teacher training, home-based services, and child care, all using our brain-based approach. Our mission is to promote the maxiumum development of the whole person through innovartive, individualized, and comprehensive brain-centered programs and services that are afforda ble, accessible, and sustainable.

This year will mark the 32nd running of A Chance To Grow's Race For The Children at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN.  This year's race will be held on August 20, 2023, from noon to 5 pm.  Attendees will not only enjoy a day at the races, they will be able to participate in our Silent Auction, two raffles, a Wall of Wine pull, and a buffet barbecue lunch.  As with previous years, we anticipate at least 150 participants will attend, and all auction items, wine bottles and raffle items will be sold. We expect to make at least $30,000.

The race is funded via sponsorship and ticket sales.  Previous years' sponsors have included local businesses, law firms, banks, and friends of ACTG.  There are four levels of sponsorship:  Triple Crown for  2,600 for 16 seats,  Derby level $1600 for 12 seats, Sprint level for $800 for 8 seats, and and Dash level for $400 for four seats.  In addition to the banquet, sponsors receive a range of acknowledgements, from display of the company logo in the Canterbury Park Program (Dash), logo displayed on table and in the program (Sprint), logo displayed on tables, on screen at finish line and in the program (Derby), and sponsorship of race, photograph in the Winner's Circle, logo on table and on screen at finish line (Triple Crown).  

Single tickets are available for $65 and children's tickets for $20.  Attendees include the employees, friends and families of event sponsors and the organization.  Proceeds go to support the operations and programs of A Chance To Grow.
