Description

The SoNo Stroll is the signature event of the Human Services Council and has raised close to 1 million dollars for the organization over the past 10 plus years.  The event features a cocktail reception with live and silent auctions followed by dinner at one of 10+ participlating restaurants where guests enjoy a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert off a special event menu.  The SoNo  Stroll raises much needed funds for the agency's five core programs:

Children's Connection Child Advocacy Center which provides wrap around investigation, treatment and support for cases involving victims of child sexual and physical abuse and human trafficking.  The Norwalk Mentor Program which is the nations first school based mentoring program and matches caring adult role models with students in K-12 in the Norwalk Public Schools.   The Dr. Robert E. Appleby School Based Health Centers are licensed medical facilities located within the Norwalk Public Schools which provide behavioral and medical healthcare regardless of the student's ability to pay or insurance status.  Our Supportive Housing program provides caring homes for 44 formally homeless adults at 40 South Main Street and 44 low income seniors at Ludlow Commons.  Lastly, we are a proud leader of The Norwalk Partnership which brings together community partners to combat substance use and abuse and provides education to the community.
