The Playgarden is a not-for-profit school whose mission is to support, strengthen and inspire the growing child, family and community. We have been providing a nurturing early childhood environment for families of the First Coast for over twenty five years, just a few steps from the ocean in Jacksonville Beach. We are a Waldorf-inspired preschool and kindergarten which considers the whole child and teaches children with their head, heart, and hands. It is home to the first Forest Kindergarten in the Southeast U.S., which my oldest child is currently experiencing and loving! We have class camping trips, seasonal festivals at the local parks, and mother nature provides the best treasures for sharing. 

This magical school puts so much effort into protecting the innocence and imagination of childhood.  The children are allowed to play and explore, and their imaginations soar.  They spend most of their days outside enjoying our wonderful NE Florida weather and each week they spend a day at the beach, a day baking huck-a-buck bread, a day hiking to a new or familiar destination, and find security in the rhythms of the season. So much is learned in these early years in this home-like environment that carries on with them. Children at The Playgarden learn through creative free play, artistic activity, circle time, story time, practical life arts, and develop a reverence for nature.

We are hosting a virtual Silent Auction April 26-27, 2023 to fundraise and it will culminate with a Gala at a local restaurant. We anticipate around 60 people at the Gala and over 100 bidders online. We have 1,002 Instagram followers, 1,496 Facebook followers, a reach of 431 alumni family quarterly newsletters, and 85 current family weekly newsletters that go out.  Silent auction donations will be displayed at the event, and we will be promoting donations and businesses on Playgarden’s social media platforms leading up to the event. Our hope is to also highlight and celebrate wonderful businesses like yours and hopefully drive you more business your way as well. We are asking for in-kind donations to enhance the success of the event and longevity of the school. Making this event successful can only be accomplished with the generosity of you and your organization. Funds enhance the educational experience of our students, provide parent and community education programs and speakers, support community outreach and environmental efforts, and provide funds for teacher training.
