Event Name: Undertow Charity Golf Classic @ Torrey Pines

Event Date: February 5, 2024

Event Purpose: Raising funds to support the City of San Diego Parks & Recreation Department

Event Description:

The San Diego Parks Foundation and the City of San Diego are proud to announce the   6th Annual Undertow Charity Golf Classic at Torrey Pines. This fun and memorable event kicks off the new year on a positive note with a unique golf experience at Torrey Pines Golf Course that benefits a great cause.

The tournament takes place every year just after the Farmers Insurance Open and will feature the same  course layout and near-tournament-like conditions the pros just played. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund initiatives for the City of San Diego’s Parks & Recreation Department youth programming and infrastructure projects. We hold a Welcome Reception with a raffle and live auction. In the past, we have generated significant revenue from the raffle and would be delighted if Rancho Santa Fe GC would be able to participate by contributing a four some to play your beautiful course.

What We Do

San Diego Parks Foundation was established to provide critical support to the City of San Diego’s Parks & Recreation  Department, whose budget cannot meet the entire needs of the City’s extensive park system. As a nonprofit, SDPF secures funding from private and public supporters to address funding gaps for youth programming, infrastructure, and maintenance of neighborhood and community parks. San Diego Parks Foundation is led by a Board of Directors who work closely with elected officials and community leaders to generate new financial and volunteer resources for the City’s many aging parks, under-utilized open spaces, underfunded programs, and recreational resources.
