Vine & Dine Gala
Gala/Party for Ability Connection TexasApr 11, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
We are thrilled to announce this year's "Vine & Dine" fundraising event for Ability
Connection, as we celebrate this amazing organization and its members! Ability
Connection continues to enrich the lives of adults and children with disabilities,
providing essential care, nursing, training, and residential services.
The agency was founded in 1953 as United Cerebral Palsy of Dallas (UCP), and it
was generously supported by the Women's Guild of UCP for decades. The
Women's Guild created a lasting foundation for Ability Connection to continue this
important work into this, our 71st year. In 2011, UCP changed its name to Ability
Connection and annually serves more than 1,000 people in Texas!
Serving children and adults, Ability Connection sets itself apart from other agencies
by accepting and caring for people with all disabilities. Many of our members
include those whose disability is most significant and those who could not, or would
not, be served by other organizations. Where would our members be without us? It
is expensive to care for our special members, and costs continue to soar. Your
financial support is integral to fund these critical programs and services. State
program funding does not sufficiently cover rising expenses. Together, we can help
serve this often-overlooked population.
