Barton County (Lamar area) Community Foundation is one of 54 affiliates of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. We hold one fundraising event per year to raise money so our organization can provide grant money to various qualified non-profits in our county can help area citizens. The organization will host a Vegas night (fake money gambling) party in Lamar MO on April 13, 2024. We invite any area guests to purchase tickets and come for a fun evening. We hold an auction during the event, so I am requesting tickets to Six Flags St. Louis to use as an auction item. We host between 100-200 guests at our events. In 2023, we were able to grant over $250,000 to area organizations in Barton County. The recipients included pre-school supplies, Girl Scouts, local church to help provide Christmas dinners to shut-ins, senior citizen's center, park improvements.
