WAAL has been a pioneer in the Wichita Animal Rescue Community with uniique services

Proactively work to address pet overpopulation such as Spay it Forward which empowers owner to fix their animals by also provide spay and neuter vouchers

The Safe Paws Alliance to provide safe housing for pets of victims of domestic violence until their owners can find a safe place to live. Also provide free vet care for the animals. We also Work with the Wichita VA to provide veterans free boarding and vet care while they have surgery or rehab.

Provide education and support for responsible pet ownership by starting Paws for Kids a program for K-5 to engaging in games to reinforce of responsible pet ownership. Also teach the older kids the importance of spay and neuter. 

We help the Community Food Banks with food for the peoples animals so they don't have to surrender their animals. Also provide Dogs houses and straw to protect outside animals.

These programs take alot of money so this is our Big Event of the year. We also provide all our fosters with food, litter, beds, blankets, toys, bowls and vet care for our animals to be ready for forever homes. They are microchipped also and contracts read that if for any reason they need to return the animals come back to WAAL (Wichita Animal Action League),
