Dear Neighbors,

Robert Louis Stevenson (RLS) is a San Francisco central Sunset district public K-5 elementary school serving students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.  More than 50% of our student body comes from underserved or low-income families.  RLS consistently ranks among the top elementary schools in the district, achieving “Distinguished” status from the CA dept of education - only one of five such designated schools in all the SFUSD.   Our success is owed to the generous support from our dedicated teachers, involved parents, and caring community.

RLS’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA, www.rlspta.org) seeks additional funding to make up the essential programs for our kids, beyond SFUSD-provided budgets. This year, those programs include:

STEAM paraeducators
Visual and performing arts
Gardening education program
Stipends for school supplies
RLS community building events

Our major fundraisers include a Winterfest Auction and a Lunar New Year Raffle.

For the upcoming Winterfest Auction we need your help with donations! 

Examples of donations include:

Merchandise e.g. artwork, pottery, jewelry, wine, technology, etc. 
Gift cards redeemable at your business 
Experiences e.g. Vouchers for summer camps, music lessons, art programs, etc.

The deadline to donate is Wednesday, 11/1.  The auction opens 11/3 and closes at Winterfest 12/15.

We hope you will help support our neighborhood children.  We recognize our supporters through the PTA school monthly newsletter reaching hundreds of neighborhood families and friends.  Our appreciation and your support will be recognized as a receipt for tax purposes.
