Yorktown Community Nursery School is a parent-cooperative nursery school that is dedicated to nurturing the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of its students.  It is a nonprofit, nonsecetarian organization that is owned,  maintained, and administered by the parents of the children enrolled in the school. At YCNS, the parents and educators work together to provide an environment where each child may develop self-confidence, independence, respect for others, and a joy for learning. This is accomplished through play, structured activities, and positive interactions with peers and adults. Our cooperative structure supports families, and allows parents to play an integral role in their child's early education. 

Today, we ask for your support to continue this tradition built so many years ago. As the school celebrates its monumental 75th anniversary since opening its doors in 1948, we are in need of a variety of upgrades, and the many programs and equipment needed to run the school can be costly. In addition, we strive to incorporate valuable enrichment programs, such as music and movement, creative arts, and field trips into our program.  Our goal is to raise money through a variety of fundraising efforts, including our upcoming Moms' Night Out/Silent Auction at the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor in Mahopac on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Unlike previous years, this will be a co-ed event for both the moms and dads of our community to enjoy an evening out while giving back to our school.

We hope that you will be able to make a donation to help us support the mission and tradition of YNCS. We are a tight-knit community, who truly appreciates local businesses that are willing to give back to our small, nonprofit preschool.  No gift is too small (or too large)! Please know that your contributions will have a direct positive impact on many of the children in your local community.
