To discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
The UNY Chapter helps local patients and families cope with the day-to-day challenges of living with ALS by providing education, guidance, information, referral sources and care services programs. Patients who are registered with the chapter can access any or all of the Care Services programs that we offer at no cost. These programs include ALS Assistance and Caregiver Respite Program grants, monthly education and awareness groups, home visits from local Care Services staff and the Robert Wright Memorial Equipment Loan Program, which provides durable medical equipment loans to patients in need.
