Alton Education & Enrichment Expo for students from PreK-8. Traditional science fairs have been held in the past and we aspire for something new and exciting to spark interest in our students. In addition to having students showcase work and presenting, the evening will be full of food, fun, entertainment, and education. This event is for people who love learning and sharing what they can do!
Alton Central School will celebrate a student’s passion, creativity, and resourcefulness for their personal interests. Students are encouraged to share what they are passionate about. Who or what has inspired them? How have they improved this craft? ACS wants to see the strengths in our students that may take place outside of school. Do they write? Cook? Build? Sew? Everyone is unique and this event will showcase the individuality of our Alton students.
Students that attend will have opportunities to participate in some “make it, take it” activities, such as creating Lego jewelry or designing a rubber band car. Aside from student work, there will be exhibits from various local businesses. Visitors can unplug and reconnect with nature, as Wildlife Encounters shares various species in an up close encounter. LetGoYourMind will have a room full of Legos for students to learn about magnetism as they build Maglev cars. Maybe someone wants to practice flying a plane with the WInnAero flight simulator. Students can learn about NH species from NH Fish & Game.
All attendees will have the opportunity to win tickets to some of New Hampshire’s greatest attractions if they complete their Expo Map, visiting all exhibits. This year, our goal is to have 50% of the student population participate! We hope you will help us in reaching our goal. We are contacting local businesses to collect passes or merchandise to their parks/facilities that we can raffle off as incentives for students to participate. Your donation is greatly appreciated.
