The American Lung Association's mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We do this through education, advocacy, and research.

The LUNG FORCE is designed to raise much-needed funds to support the fight against lung cancer and drive awareness for this vital cause. 

Some statistics that may shock you:

·       Lung disease is the #1 cause of death, and lung cancer is the #1 cancer-related death of both men and women, killing more Americans than breast, prostate, and colon cancer combined

·       Every day, 373 Americans lose their lives to lung cancer, with a new diagnosis occurring every 2 1/2 minutes

·       Only 22% of lung cancer cases are diagnosed early when the disease is most curable

·       1 in 3 South Floridians are battling some form of chronic severe lung disease, such as COPD, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, or asthma

Through the success of fundraising evets like the LUNG FORCE Sunset Soiree, 90 cents of every dollar raised is able to fund the American Lung Association's mission to tackle lung cancer, provide community support programs, and advance advocacy efforts.
