In the last decade, the U.S. has faced an extreme shortage of skilled workers, particularly in the trades. Employers continue to struggle finding trained, qualified workers who are able to meet the needs of the demands for trade labor. The Andy Rice Trade Scholarship (ARTS) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization providing new opportunities for careers in the trades. The mission of the Andy Rice Trade Scholarship (ARTS) is to foster the development of highly-qualified tradespeople by providing opportunities and support for prospective and current students interested in prosperous and rewarding careers in the trade industry. The opportunities come primarily in the form of events and scholarships for high school students interested in learning more about careers in the trades.
