Angel Flight NE is a non-profit organization with the following mission: To coordinate FREE air transportation so children and adults may access life-saving medical care. Angel Flight NE is celebrating 23 years of providing life-saving flights of healing and hope. Since our first flight on May 31, 1996, we have arranged over 77,000 free flights, flying more than 66, 000 children and adults over 14 million miles by our 500+ volunteer pilots to receive critically needed medical care. Approximately 40% of our patients are children, suffering from life-threatening cancer, severe burns or crippling diseases. Our flight coordination team, located in our operations center at Lawrence Municipal Airport in North Andover, MA, at peak requests, has scheduled up to 80 flight requests per week with our volunteer pilots. Our Earth Angels donate their time and cars to drive our patients to and from hospitals and airports. Angel Flight’s main service area covers 9 states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Additionally, we can serve patients nationwide through our partnership with other air charities and airlines.
