Right now, there are over 26 million refugees, around the world, 86% of this being children and the most vulnerable have only one solution, refugee sponsorship. AURA is a Canadian charitable organization that provides support and expertise to groups involved in the private sponsorship of refugees program. AURA connects, trains, and supports Canadian private sponsors who choose to directly help refugees who can never return home due to directly being affected by persecution or war. Private sponsors are responsible financially and emotionally for helping refugee newcomers become established in Canada. With AURA's support, hundreds of refugees have come to Canada and made a meaningful impact in their community.
