Arlington Retirement Housing Corporate, the nonprofit owner of Culpepper Garden, is seeking a donation for our upcoming silent auction. Founded in 1969, Culpepper Garden is Northern Virginia's largest affordable community for low-income people age 52 and older. On Saturday, June 8, 2019, Culpepper Garden will host its annual Springtime Party at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington (VA). The event includes light fare, a beer and wine bar, live music, a live and silent auction and a short program. We anticipate approximately 150 guests will be in attendance and this years goal is to raise $180,000. We are also excited to announce the launch of our 50 year anniversary.
Culpepper Garden is committed to serving our community's most vulnerable seniors. We provide 340 independent and assisted living apartments for older adults who live on very limited incomes. Our assisted living facility was the first nonprofit of its kind in the country and remains Arlington's only facility providing apartments and enhanced services for low and very low-income individuals.
Funds raised by this event will provide ad to residents who are not only our most vulnerable but can no longer afford to pay for assisted living services. I hope you will consider making a tax-deductible donation of tickets or a gift card to 5-Wits in support of this important cause.
