Arms Wide Open enriches the lives of children and adults with special needs or disabilities by fostering caring social environments and creating opportunities for recreation and participation in the performing arts. Arms Wide Open's studio classes (e.g. musical theatre, hip hop, social dance, puppetry, drumming, voice) are offered 6 days a week in its El Cajon facility and one day a week at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido. Programs provide participants with an outlet for creativity and social opportunities that are so important to a fulfilling, happy life. Each year, Arms Wide Open presents a minimum of two major theatrical productions.
